Terms
Last updated: November 4, 2026
The short version: Pometa is in beta, the apps you build are yours, and you're in charge of what they do on your Mac.
Who we are
Pometa is made by Manuel Toledo, in Spain (“we”). By using Pometa you agree to these terms. Questions: pometaapp@gmail.com.
A beta
Pometa is early. Things will change, and some will break. It's provided as it is, without promises that it will do everything you need or never fail. Keep copies of anything important.
Your apps
- The apps you build, and the ready-made ones you add, are yours to use and change as you like on your Macs.
- They act on your Mac with the access you give them: they can, for example, read your mail, archive it, type for you or run when you're not looking. Check what you ask for, and give an app only the access it needs.
- Apps are built by AI, and AI makes mistakes. Before trusting an app with something that matters, try it.
AI
- If you use your own Claude subscription, Anthropic's terms apply to it, and what you build counts toward your plan's limits.
- With Pometa credits, you agree to Anthropic's usage policy too.
What you may not do
Don't use Pometa to break the law, to watch or collect data on other people without their consent, to make malware or spam, or to get around Pometa's limits or payments.
Credits and plans
- Credits pay for building and for the AI your apps use. How many a task takes depends on how complex it is; Pometa shows what's been spent.
- Credits don't expire. A plan adds its credits each month until you cancel; you can change or cancel it whenever you like, and it stays until the end of the month paid.
- Payments are made through Lemon Squeezy, who sells to you on our behalf; their terms apply to the purchase. If a payment is refunded, the credits it gave are taken back.
- Your credits belong to the Pometa account on your Mac. It has no password or email yet, so if you erase your Mac or its Keychain, write to us before you do.
- We may change prices; it won't affect credits you've already bought, and we'll tell you before a plan's price changes.
Ending
You can stop using Pometa whenever you like. We may close an account that breaks these terms. If we stop offering Pometa credits, we'll tell you in advance so you can use what you have.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for what your apps do with the access you gave them, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If they change in a way that matters, we'll say so in Pometa before it applies.
